Child and Youth Protection Policy
Weverse Company (hereinafter "Company") is dedicated to providing a safe online environment for users of all ages, including children and youth, protecting younger users from harmful content, and promoting responsible internet use. This policy aligns with the youth protection policies and child safety standards outlined in the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. The Company will continue to foster a healthy internet culture where children and youth can grow and develop through positive online interactions.
1. Goals and Principles for Child and Youth Protection
The Child and Youth Protection policy outlines our commitment to protecting children and youth from harmful online environments, promoting a positive and beneficial online experience, and providing services where they can safely use the internet.
2. Measures to Protect Children and Youth
To prevent children and youth from accessing harmful content without any safeguarding measures, the Company implements a verification system to filter harmful media and information as a preventative measure.
3. Responding to User Concerns Caused by Harmful Content
The Company has trained personnel to handle consultations and complaints regarding harm caused by harmful content. This ensures that any issues are addressed promptly and efficiently, preventing further harm.
4. Limiting and Managing Children and Youth’s Access to Harmful Content
The Company systematically manages illegal or harmful keywords to children and youth by implementing a comprehensive list of banned words across our services, including general search, among other measures.
5. Educating to Protect Children and Youth from Harmful Content
The Company trains our youth protection personnel and service managers on child and youth protection laws and regulations, penalties, procedures for handling harmful information, reporting protocols on the procedures, and more.
6. Raising User Awareness to Protect Children and Youth
The Company's Terms of Service and Community User Guide clearly state that users engaging in inappropriate behavior may face restrictions or civil and criminal liabilities. The Company also promptly informs users about new forms of harmful content via notice or email to protect all our users, including children and youth.
7. Blocking CSAE and CSAM
The company continuously operates a system that automatically filters and blocks child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
8. Designated Child and Youth Protection Personnel
The Company designates the following manager and personnel responsible for child and youth protection to block and manage harmful content for children and youth, develop and implement child and youth protection policies against harmful content, and perform other duties related to child and youth protection.
